This weekend, we traveled to a great cottage on Lake Erie with Imagine Respite participants Peter and Derek. We stayed in a charming cottage in Long Point that had beautiful beach access and was close to several attractions. We spent time at the Long Point Conservation Area: which has miles of beach and wild life to enjoy. We also visited Turkey Point and Port Dover. The weather was great and we all had a wonderful action packed weekend.

The scheduled outing to the farm at the Toronto Island was cancelled due to flooding on the Island. Service to the Island has been halted because 40 % of Island Park is underwater including; the main beaches, residential area and park/attraction areas. We hope that the water levels ease up soon so that homeowners, Island staff, and visitors are able to able to access this beautiful parkland again soon.
Instead, Imagine Respite enjoyed a water & animal themed day by attending Ripley's Aquarium located in downtown Toronto. We are very excited to welcome Joshua Charles Burrows to the Imagine Respite Family. Joshua was born on May 1st at 8:58pm. Congratulations Julie and Brandon !!
A great lunch was prepared by Sarah, Peter, Krissy and Derek today. Lunch consisted of a beautiful salad, grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. The idea was to go mini putting, but there was a really long wait to start our game. Thank you to everyone for being so flexible. As a group, we decided to enjoy a little time outside in the fresh air, and went for a walk and had a little Tucker time at the park. We then headed to Tim Hortons to warmup and enjoyed a snack before heading home!
Tonights evening involved some dancing in the living room, preparing and making dinner, desert and we then cheered on the Blue Jays on TV. Tonights dinner consisted of turkey sausages, mashed potatoes and a salad. Desert included raspberry turnovers and tea. Awesome meal tonight!!!
