Not even thunder and ran can keep the fun away from our weekend programs. Plans may change - but the fun keeps coming.
We enjoyed a beautiful summer day at the beach this past Saturday while attending the Port Union Waterfront Festival. Live music, a picnic lunch, football/ toss, walk and ice cream were enjoyed by all Imagine Respite Services participants. What a great opportunity to finally appreciate the outdoors with friends.
The rain held off Sunday afternoon and we were able to participate in a hands on tour at the Pickering Museum Village. We sampled some freshly baked shortbread cookies and our participants worked together to make some thick rope that would have been used in the mid 1800's.
Imagine Respite participants had a great time at the Toronto Science Centre on Sunday afternoon. Hands on experimentation and tons to see made a for great day!
We started the night off with a quiet game of Hangman in the shade. Then we played some active games including Sky Darts, Minion Bowling and Beach Ball Keep Up. Everyone laughed and cheered each other on. For dinner, everyone roasted their own hotdogs and marshmallows. After enjoying the fire and some nice conversation, we headed inside for some quiet games.
The Blue Jays don't need to win, for us to have a good time. The Blue Jays played the New York Yankees and lost 7-0 OUCH!! And - we saw Spiderman!!
It was a beautiful Friday night for a patio BBQ with friends. Today's participants played bocce, prepared shish kebobs for dinner and then went for walk. It was nice having an evening of sunshine!!
