We had a great day aboard the Kajama today. Sarah and Krissy helped to raise the main sail and we all enjoyed a little reprieve from the heat on our sailing adventure.

What a fantastic weekend to spend by the lake in Peterborough Ontario. We spent Saturday afternoon at the Curve Lake Anishinabee Ojibway First Nations Pow Wow. It was a wonderful display of Music, Dance and Regalia. It was a sunny, hot day and we took comfort with some ice cream and a swim in the lake - which was very comfortable for the middle of September. In the evening, we enjoyed S'Mores by the campfire, a movie and we were serenaded by the sound of a cricket we found inside the cottage (and I thought the sound was coming from the movie we were watching). Sunday morning we went for another swim before we packed up to come home. It was a great weekend and an amazing way to enjoy our last cottage weekend of 2017. After a delicious lunch with a lake view, a neck and neck match of mini golf, and a refreshing stop for a snack, we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon stroll through a beautiful park.
We had a great afternoon sharing our talents and learning from one another. We made pasta for lunch which was followed by a very creative afternoon. We did some drawings and abstract paintings, made rain sticks, built different pathways for marbles and created interesting structures with magnets. Elissa brought a craft to show and Sarah made a couple of instruments.
This past Saturday night, we enjoyed Eats N'Peeps. The ladies worked on a puzzle together until Darcy showed up. They both are excellent at this and enjoy doing it. We tried out a new game, played Simpsons dominoes, did a newspaper picture hunt, and ended the evening with a Fire and Marshmallows. Time flies by when you are having fun!
